“Mindfulness is the final common pathway of what makes us human, our capacity for awareness and for self-knowing.”

Testimonials
“The practice check-ins at the opening of each session were a welcome opportunity to reflect with intention on patterns, tendencies, and preferences. I truly benefitted (and continue to!) from the way Anne weaves together and encourages awareness during formal and informal mindfulness practices.” —SH
As a busy school administrator and single mom, I was very open to learning a framework that might help me balance my work and home responsibilities and stresses with greater ease. My colleague at the time was the amazing Anne Savery and she was instrumental in bringing the study of mindfulness to our staff as an after school component of our wellness goal for our school improvement plan. Participation was strictly voluntary. I remember feeling so calm and peaceful as we gradually worked our way into the actual practice of mindfulness. Anne's passion for sharing what she was learning and practicing was contagious. Her heartfelt teaching and implementation of our school's mindfulness movement quickly engaged a larger number of participants from our staff. We grew together as a group and Anne's leadership and guidance created a welcoming, safe place for us to learn and share our journey. The more I learned, the more I wanted to learn and practice mindfulness as I interacted with our staff and students, in addition to my day-to-day encounters in "the real world" outside of school. Implementing mindfulness strategies that Anne taught us, I found a reduction in my stress both at school and at home. I believe in the practice of mindfulness and can not thank Anne enough for helping me to learn and grow as a professional and hone my skills for the betterment of myself and those around me.

I was introduced to mindfulness a couple of years ago by Anne and her easygoing and holistic approach to this skill. It has since become a part of my daily routine. In my administrative role, there are endless scenarios that play out during the course of a day and the practice of mindfulness has provided stability and reduced emotional distress. Mindfulness practices have given me a valuable toolset for re-energizing, focusing and easing anxiety.
