The qualities of the heart are a way for us to meet ourselves and the world around us. By cultivating loving kindness, compassion, appreciative joy and equanimity we can live each day more skillfully and in turn with greater ease. This workshop is the second of four. Join me for one or all four!
This second workshop will focus on the quality of compassion with emphasis toward self and others. We will explore:
the characteristics of compassion
compassion vs. empathy
support for those who work in service to others
practice connecting with the subtle body of the heart
and end with a guided meditation that can be revisited again to strengthen this quality
This workshop is perfect for those that work in public service and/or work with a wide range of situations in challenging environments, as well as, those who identify as an empath and those wondering why they are not more empathic. Also relevant for beginning and experienced students of meditation.
